Kerry has been practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for over 10 years. He will focus on a variety of evidenced base practices including EMDR, DBT, CBT and ACT. He will work to help you "stand tall" against negative self thoughts and begin living as confident and self-assured.
He emphasizes non-judgmental empathy, respect and mindfulness, working to recognize how our various identities shape how we experience the world. He welcomes clients from ALL walks of life with experience in both an Individual and a Couples context.
INDIVIDUAL: We often find ourselves hurting, stuck, frustrated and confused. Our fears, worries, sorrows or trauma take over our rational thoughts, keeping us from being who we really want to be. Whether big or small they can be life changing and relationship shattering.
There are no messes too messy to dig through, and there are no hurts too deep to heal. You are taking your first courageous step by right now. Give us a call to see if one of our therapists is the right fit for you.
COUPLES: As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I help others repair, stabilize, and revitalize their relationship with themselves and others by working to eliminate the broken communication patterns that do not work, and restore life in the relationship with new habits and tools.
My aim is to be a difference maker, bring the best of the best tools and methods to each session. Getting the desired results for your relationship goals is our primary focus.
TRAUMA: I have been "trauma trained" in EMDR and enjoy assisting individuals in reprocessing disturbing memories/experiences such as a "traumatic childhood," domestic abuse, sexual abuse, car accidents, accidental death of a loved one and other related traumatic life experiences.

Dr. James is a licensed psychologist who works from a psychodynamic approach that blends psychotherapy with philosophy in the therapeutic process. He offers a diverse work history in clinics, state hospitals, prisons, geriatric facilities for over 25 years.
He explains, "I believe that the issues people experience are often deeper than situational depression, anxiety, or any number of surface symptoms, but rather are seated in the character makeup of us as individuals. Thus, to truly solve issues, therapy needs to focus on the understanding and treatment of those dynamics."
